Membership of The Living Room is an answer to the questions:

Together we share responsibility in the successful management of the Co-op, have a vote in general meetings, and may contribute to the Board of Directors.
As co-creators, members can agree to pursue any number of future benefits made possible through collective organization and the economy of scale, such as:

Annual Memberships
Our amazing Co-creators are artists, makers, educators, community organizers & allied-professionals and receive:
24/7 access
full use of shared resources
members-only locked storage
a dedicated page on our website
all revenue they generate for their business/initiatives
Co-creators hold roles in the management of the co-operative, contribute community hours toward collective interests, vote at annual General Meetings, and may be elected to the Board of Directors. There are three levels of Co-Creator membership to support your budget and scheduling needs.
Co-Creators
Collaborators operate within the shared space, enjoy all the benefits of membership, and contribute a small number of additional community hours in exchange for a reduced membership fee.

In addition to the benefits of membership, Stewards are permitted installed fixtures for their personal use and receive calendar and scheduling priority.
The Co-op can support up to 6 Stewards annually.

Our community is fundamental to the The Living Room. Everyone is welcome during Public Hours; however, you can additionally support the project and the community through the memberships below.
Community Memberships
Vote at general meetings and contribute to the Board of Directors.
$250 - Friend
Local businesses and organizations who may wish to contribute to the community by offering products or services through our website, newsletter, and referrals. (Non-voting)
$450 - Associate
Membership fees are non-refundable and collected annually to ensure sufficient working capital to cover operating costs.
The Co-op is subject to the Co-operative Corporations Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. C.35 and therefore abides by the requirements set within.
Members must agree to abide by the Co-op bylaws and the code of conduct (as co-created by them!) and any relevant regulatory requirements.
